Get Volunteer Benefits From Your Job -- Did you know
that your company might match your volunteer time contributions? Many
local companies reward volunteer time with a donation of cash grants
to non-profits in which their employees volunteer. For each hour of
your volunteer time, your employer may donate money to Discovery Home
Care.
Give personal care items
Help do your part to keep homeless
youths safe, clean and warm. We need donations of female toiletries,
hair product, razors, shaving cream and blankets. Please call The
Youth Shelter (704) 854-9351 to schedule delivery or pick up.
Give
new bedding
Help us provide youth with a safe, cozy bed to sleep in.

Give
new clothing for teens
We can always use new clothing for teenage boys
and girls. Please contact our volunteer coordinator at (704) 854-9351
or volunteer@discoveryhomecare.org.
Please note that the following
types of gifts will not be accepted: candles, lighters and other flammable
materials; hazardous chemicals; firearms or other weapons; used personal
hygiene items; used electrical equipment in poor or suspect repair.
Without
the dedication of our team of volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to provide
quality housing, treatment, and prevention services for youth and
their families.
You can make a difference in a young person’s
life—and meet some incredible people who share your commitment—when
